I think it's because what I like about songs is more than their "accoustic signature" - maybe more to do with the lyrics? I don't debate that Pandora does a good job of matching accoustic signature, it's just frustrating when I put in "Eleanor Rigby" and it gives me half a dozen songs in a minor key with an orchestral accompaniment that just sound like "Eleanor Rigby" knockoffs.
